Purpose

FilmFinder demonstrates the usefulness of new controls that were developed at the University of Maryland: Starfield display and alpha/range sliders.

Applications

FilmFinder became a commercial application for home use; it helped people in finding films and videos that fit their personal interests and taste. FilmFinder was marketed Spotfire, a company that was founded by Cristopher Ahlberg.
