UX/ASUG Communications Specialist
Location: Palo Alto, CA, U.S.A.
Come join the Research, Standards and Methods (RSM) Team of SAP User Experience
group as the Usability Activities Communication Specialist. ASUG is the world's
largest SAP User Group with more than 45,000 individual members and 1,700 companies
represented. The ASUG/UX Activities Communications Specialist would be responsible
for coordinating ASUG related usability activities at the main conference and
the smaller Fall Forums as well as maintaining ongoing relationships with customers
in support of the SAP User Experience team's research projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with the product marketing and the sales team to execute a mix of
marketing activities, including online web seminars and events.
- Managing the relationship with ASUG and the ASUG liaison office
- Planning and coordinating the logistics of usability activities at events
- Overseeing the development of creative assets and tools
- Maintaining the budget and project plans
- Work closely with senior research staff in evaluating project team submissions
for eligibility to usability activities
- Organizing the required supporting documents such as NDAs and recording
releases
- Overseeing the on-site support staff
- Supporting the on-site usability teams
- In conjunction with senior research staff, evaluate activities in post-event
reporting
- Assist with the internal and external distribution of success stories,
quotes, and other customer testimonials
- Planning and running awareness initiatives
- Develop business contacts for User Involvement Program, and maintain
current business contacts through personal interaction/visits to on-site
marketing events;
- Attract new SAP customers to the User Involvement Program and deeply
engage with existing customers through this program.
Requirements
- BA in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred.
- 4-6 years experience in corporate marketing, marketing programs, or marketing
communications with exposure to sales organizations
- Broad knowledge of IT systems a big plus
- Knowledge of user-centered design process also a plus
The ideal candidate must have:
- Passion for technology, creativity to think outside the box and confidence
to execute effectively.
- Strong project management skills and experience, including meeting tight
deadlines, able to multitask and working with external creative agencies,
events vendors, and international projects.
- Strong writing and communication skills a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Strong working knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural differences across
countries and regions a plus
