With this newsletter we would like to inform you about the following news and current activities "under the hood" of the SAP Design Guild Website:

  • The SAP Reference Lists had a major upgrade with respect to the terminology pages; this is useful especially for German-speaking developers
  • Two new articles are in the pipeline for the current Collaboration edition – they will be published in November.
  • The SAP Design Guild will have a "facelift" on October 31st. We will change its appearance to make it look more similiar to the SAP.com standard design, while still retaining the look of the SAP portal and accessibility features, such as font-scaling in the browser.

So, keep an eye out for the changes to come and take a look at the news on the homepage, where the new articles will be announced.

SAP Design Guild Newsletter No. 13 - 09/12/2002 - Collaboration Edition

We are pleased to announce the fifth edition of the SAP Design Guild Website focusing on the topic Collaboration – Working Efficiently in a Complex Network of People and Information.

Our leading article looks at the the current issues in the field of collaboration. Further introductory articles define what collaboration means – including a collaboration glossary (that is also offered in the Resources section) – and offer useful links to various information resources.

A second group of articles covers a wide range of topics, such as

  • New approaches to collaboration,
  • Knowledge management and knowledge sharing,
  • Communities, personal networks, and
  • Groupware.

For example, an article by InContext Enterprises presents an in-depth field study and emphasizes the relevance of personal networks in B2B relationships.

Finally, there is a group of articles presenting collaboration software projects from SAP – for example, a discussion of design issues and a look at the design process from a usability point of view.

See below the complete list of articles and authors in this edition. (not shown in the newsletter archive – see the collaboration edition, for reference)
