Special Issue of the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction Honors Ben Shneiderman's 60th Birthday

In honor of Ben Shneiderman's 60th birthday, a special issue of the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction (volume 23, issue 3, 2007) has been published. In the introduction Reflections on Human-Computer Interaction Catherine Plaisant and Chris North state: For more than 30 years, Ben Shneiderman has promoted HCI through his prolific writing and lecturing and his direction of the Human–Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL; 1983–2000) at the University of Maryland, where he is Professor of Computer Science. The issue is comprised of five articles, which cover topics, such as visualization, information seeking, as well as societal issues and HCI.

CHI 2008 in Florence, Italy – SAP Again Sponsor to CHI

We would like to start a new tradition on the SAP Design Guild Website. With a "Highlight Topic" we intend to offer articles which have already been published on our Website and relate to a common topic, presented anew within a coherent framework. We hope that having the articles in one place will make it easier for our visitors to catch up on a certain topic from the UI field.
